These terms are the agreement between you and Kaeli (“we”), of Costa Rica, for using AlojaConmigo: the app for hosts and the booking website for their guests. By creating an account or sending a booking request, you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
What AlojaConmigo is (and what it is not)
AlojaConmigo is a tool: it helps people who rent vacation accommodation publish their properties, receive direct booking requests, and manage their calendar, prices and bookings.
- We are not a travel agency or an intermediary in the booking. The accommodation agreement is between the host and the guest.
- We do not charge booking commissions or process booking payments. The guest pays the host directly, using the methods the host provides (for example, SINPE Móvil or bank transfer).
- The host decides their prices, rules and cancellation policy, and whether to accept each request.
Your account (hosts)
- You must be of legal age and able to enter into contracts.
- Your account details must be true. Keep your password safe: you are responsible for what is done with your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from the app (how).
Your responsibilities as a host
- Have the right to rent each property you publish and comply with the laws that apply to you (permits, registrations, taxes, safety, consumer protection).
- Publish true and current information: photos, description, prices, availability and rules.
- Honour the bookings you confirm and your own cancellation policy.
- Use your guests’ data only to manage their stay, with care and in line with data protection law.
- Hold the rights to the photos and texts you upload.
- Answer to your guests for the accommodation, charges, refunds and any complaint about the stay.
If you book as a guest
- Sending a request is not a confirmed booking: the host can accept or decline it, and the request expires if they do not answer in time.
- The price you see is calculated by the system with the host’s data and is saved in your request. Payment, deposit, deadlines and cancellation are those the host shows on the property page and in “My booking”.
- Payments and any refunds are agreed directly with the host. Kaeli does not receive your money and cannot refund it.
- Use true details and keep your “My booking” link private: anyone who has it can see your booking.
Uses that are not allowed
- Publishing fake listings, deceiving people or trying to charge for something that does not exist.
- Illegal, offensive or discriminatory content, or content that violates other people’s rights.
- Sending spam, bulk messages or automated requests, or trying to bypass the bot protection.
- Trying to access other people’s accounts or data, scraping content in bulk or harming the service.
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, letting you know when possible. To report abuse, go to support.
Subscription and free trial
- New accounts get a 30-day free trial. After that, a subscription is needed to keep receiving online bookings.
- The subscription is bought and charged through the App Store or Google Play, at the prices shown in the app before you pay. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it in your store settings at least 24 hours before.
- Subscription refunds are decided by the store where you paid, under its rules.
- If the subscription lapses, your data is kept, but your page says you are not taking online bookings for now until you renew.
- Deleting your account does not cancel your store subscription: cancel it yourself in the App Store or Google Play.
Your content
What you publish remains yours. You allow us to store it, show it on your public page and adapt it (for example, resize photos) only to provide the service. That permission ends when you delete it or your account.
The service
We work to keep AlojaConmigo running well and without interruptions, but we cannot always guarantee it. We may improve, change or stop offering features; if a change affects you significantly, we will let you know in advance. We recommend you keep your own copy of essential booking information.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Kaeli is not liable for the condition of accommodations, for payments or refunds between host and guest, for disagreements between them, or for indirect damages. Nothing here limits the consumer rights the law gives you that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date above and announce important changes in the app or by email before they apply. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, without prejudice to the rights your country’s consumer law gives you. Responsible party: Dinia Susana Campos Vargas (trading as Kaeli), an individual, of San Ramón, Alajuela, Costa Rica.
